Our client, part of a large multinational, requires an experienced purchasing professional. The role: Purchase management and development of a cost effective and reliable supply base for the organisation.
Job Description:
* Take responsibility for the purchasing of all products – ensuring all suppliers meet stringent quality / traceability criteria, adhering to EFSIS standards etc, * Follow the Products purchased through the delivery process and handle Claim issues Etc. on the Purchases and analyse the further processing of the received product to its final stage. * Implement sourcing strategies to support company objectives, providing the company with competitive advantages. * Locate, analyse and develop a consolidated supplier base to meet current and future commodity needs. * Create and maintain mutually beneficial long term partnerships with suppliers to foster feedback and continuous improvements * Negotiate and manage all contracts and agreements for assigned commodities. * Manage suppliers (and their evaluation through KPI’s), costs, quality and delivery performance. * Drive a program of continuous improvement in all aspects of the procurement process, optimising supplier performance, reducing total cost and leading innovations (involvement with the NPD team)
Requirements:
The candidate: * 2 - 5 years experience of buying. * Experience of buying in the food industry.
